Travel Chaotically! - Paris - Day 2 begins at Place Monge

Much refreshed the next morning, we took the metro to Place Monge and a lovely street market! Beautiful lettuces, French radishes, aubergines, figs, plums, grapes, a butcher, sausage stand, spices, olives....so much more....a Lebanese stand and BREAKFAST!!!  A galette stuffed with spinach, garlic, onion, and sumac!  Sooooo delicious.  The proprietors were cooking them on nothing but a hot plate, yet the crust and filling were perfect.  Figs and cheese were purchased for later.  We wandered through the Latin Quarter - enjoying new and old sights, as we had stayed in the area on our previous visit to Paris.  Crossing Pont de L'archeveche for lovely views of the back of the Notre Dame.  We wandered through some fabric shops along Boulevard Saint-Germain, though most were for interior design use.  A lovely rest and chat in the Jardin du Luxembourg and the metro back to the hotel for a delicious supper of our cheese and figs, with bread and wine.  A perfect day in Paris!!!

Yes, that is a bunny in a buggy!

  1. I need a bunny in a buggy! I would also like some of those tomatoes and some of the most beautiful radishes I have ever seen! But, what's up with the armadillo?
